Upland Game Birds and Ducks

Field Care of Upland Game Birds & Waterfowl

After harvesting a game bird or waterfowl you wish to have mounted, tuck the head under one wing and fold wings gently to avoid breaking feathers. Place in plastic bag if available and place in game pouch. Be mindful of long tail feathers so you do not break them. After hunt bring as soon as possible for drop off. If unable, please place plastic wrapped bird in freezer. You do not have to wash the bird as it is done in the mounting process. Waterfowl must include on paper your name, address, phone number and hunting license number. Species and sex of waterfowl , along with town and state from where it was harvested , must be included as well.
